    You want a serious answer to this or an ignorant one?

    The serious answer is that most of us are of mixed race - Nigerian and Dominican, Cuban and English, Spanish & Guyanese etc etc. Just because someone has lighter skin doesn't exclude them from being black. Skin colour is not a true depiction of genetic makeup, and anyway do we really wanna get into genetic categorisation in 2010??

    Some scholars and texts say we all came from Africa before the tectonic plates shifted so we're all degrees of mixed race from that point onwards...
